Custom Gas Mixture Cylinders Western Pennsylvania

Air quality. Regimented industrial processing. Precision calibration and regulation. These are all practical, necessary and common uses of custom gas mixtures. Measuring air pollution is vital to Pittsburgh's health and economic well-being, and Greco Gas steps up to support regional initiatives aimed to improve air quality. We work with you to ensure the most accurate monitoring possible. We comply with the most demanding EPA specifications and procedures and then analyze the mixtures according to NIST-traceable standards. If EPA compliance is essential to your business or service to fulfill environmental goals, reach out to Greco Gas, your local PurityPlus® Partner, for all your calibration gas requirements.

Applications

Calibration and Multi-Component Mixtures

General instruments used to analyze the chemical composition of substances, mixtures, and gases help monitor industrial and chemical processing. Gas chromatography is one method to measure and assure the appropriate levels and percentages of gases remain constant throughout the given process. These instruments maintain the critical function of issuing system alerts if impurities are detected or thresholds for composition are excessive. Precision production and analysis capability allow Greco Gas to offer high standard calibration mixtures necessary for this use.

Laser Mixtures

Greco Gas offers an array of noble and custom mixture for laser cutting tools and other applications. You can read more about how lasers work and the mixtures we manufacture and source here

Window grade Krypton

Although not a mixed gas, the rare gas Krypton is an excellent thermal insulator, much better than air, and is commonly used to fill insulated glass windows and doors. Greco Gas is your local source for Krypton and other rare gases.

PPM Mixtures

When our customers have gas mixture requirements with specific PPM (parts per million) concentration requirements or limits, call on Greco Gas.

Zero Gases

Ultra-High Pure gases used as a “zero” to calibrate specific instruments used in regulating single substances and as a baseline for emission measurements used in the pollution regulation industry.

EPA Protocol Mixtures

The calibration gases we produce and distribute for environmental monitoring are those established by the EPA, the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), numerous stakeholders, and specialty gas producers such as PurityPlus® as EPA Protocol Gases. To be specific, we offer our Pittsburgh and southwestern PA customers the following mixtures:

  • Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in Air
  • Carbon Dioxide (CO2) in Nitrogen (N2)
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) in Air
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO) in Nitrogen (N2)
  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) in Air
  • Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) in Nitrogen (N2)
  • Methane (CH4) in Air
  • Methane (CH4) in Nitrogen (N2)
  • Nitric Oxide (NO) in Air
  • Nitric Oxide (NO) in Nitrogen (N2)
  • NOx (Nitric Oxide and Nitrogen Dioxide) in Air
  • NOx (Nitric Oxide and Nitrogen Dioxide) in Nitrogen (N2)
  • Oxygen (O2) in Nitrogen (N2)
  • Propane (C3H8) in Air
